Cleveland Clinic appoints five new in-country representatives

The network expansion is to ensure greater access to worldwide patient care
Cleveland Clinic has announced the appointments of new in-country representatives in five locations: Canada, China, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico.
They are part of a global network, with knowledge of the latest treatments, able to help patients access these services by communicating in their local language with a mutual cultural understanding.
The representatives have 24/7 access to global services to connect patients to Cleveland Clinic care available at locations in the US, Canada, the UK and the UAE. They can organise online educational consultations, second opinions and follow-up appointments, as well as in-person treatment at the most convenient Cleveland Clinic hospital, including transport for the individual and their families.
Dr Curtis Rimmerman, Chairman of Cleveland Clinic International Operations, said: “We have seen strong growth in demand for our services worldwide, and we believe every individual can benefit from the quality of care we provide.
“By expanding our network of in-country representatives, we are able to increase access to care by breaking down language and cultural barriers that may have prevented patients from seeking treatments that might not have been available to them previously.”
The representatives will also be responsible for connecting local medical professionals with training and medical education offered by Cleveland Clinic, and contacting philanthropists who wish to donate to non-profit hospitals.
There are now in-country representatives covering the following countries: Bahamas, Canada, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
