CFC purchases ThreatInformer
The specialist cyber provider has acquired the UK-based insurtech for an undisclosed amount of money
ThreatInformer provides data enrichment technology that enables insurers to better understand their customers’ risk exposure; it accesses data from a variety of sources in order to compile an accurate risk profile. CFC hopes that this solution, which it plans to integrate with its own suite of technology, will allow it to improve its underwriting process in various key areas. It also plans to leverage ThreatInformer’s offering to spot and analyse patterns in claims data so that future losses can be predicted and prevented.
This is the second deal of this kind that CFC has signed in the last six months; in mid-2019, it acquired incident response firm Solis Security.
“Putting technology and data at the heart of everything we do is what sets CFC apart and is critical to staying competitive in today’s market,” said Dave Walsh, CEO. “Bringing ThreatInformer’s unique technology in-house was a natural next step for us and builds on a number of exciting projects already underway.”
