battleface travel insurance policies cover medical and emergency expenses, hospital benefit, personal accident, baggage, personal money and passport and personal liability. Available for popular winter sports destinations, policies are available for travellers up to the age of 79.
Cover also includes emergency medical expenses caused by or resulting from Covid-19 for travellers up to a maximum age of 59.
Giving travellers continued peace of mind during pandemic
Hugh King, Director of Business Development, UK & Europe at battleface, commented: “We’ve helped thousands of tourists travel safely this summer and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. We’re very pleased to develop our policies to give travellers continued peace of mind and even more confidence when making their travel plans this winter and moving into 2021."
Participation in winter sports in a professional capacity or on a competitive basis is specifically excluded, and battleface policies do not include cover in relation to Covid-19 expenses for trip cancellations, curtailment of a holiday or lockdowns including resort or piste closures.
Since the summer, battleface has offered a Covid-19 travel insurance package. The policy gives travellers the peace of mind they have been looking for to venture out safely, including to countries currently advised against travelling to by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Available for travellers up to and including age 59, the policy includes cover for medical expenses caused by or resulting from Covid-19.
