AvaMed promotes collaboration in finding digital health solutions
The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) based in Washington DC, US, has launched its Center for Digital Health
The new platform will give member companies the chance to collaborate with one another, while addressing challenges and opportunities in digital health, as well as engaging with other stakeholders and policymakers in the industry. Apple, 23andMe, Bayer, IBM, Medtronic, Microsoft and Verily are all currently members.
"Digital technologies and data-enabled insights and interventions are fundamentally changing how patient care is delivered," said Andy Fish, AdvaMed's Chief Strategy Officer. "We're still in new territory and there are barriers to overcome on the way to a future in which the promise of digital health is fully realised. Our new centre is focused on ensuring that regulatory, payment and delivery system reforms will accelerate and expand access to innovative digital health technologies and solutions."
