Allianz Partners USA announces three appointments

Bernie Verwiel – District Director for the Midwest

Bernie Verwiel has joined the company as the new District Director for the US Midwest. He previously served as Senior Manager for Partner Relations at Covac Global between August 2021 and November 2022, where he ‘onboarded travel agency partners for medical/pandemic/security evacuation programs and facilitated membership sales’.

Verwiel also currently serves as a Tour Director for Chicago Tour Experience, where he has worked part-time since 2016. He also previously served as Business Development Manager for Bucom International between 2019 and 2021. Allianz describes Verwiel as a ‘seasoned Sales and Marketing Executive’ with extensive experience in a variety of account development roles.

Paul Corrigan – District Director for the Southeast

Paul Corrigan has joined as District Director for the US Southeast, having previously served as Business Development Manager for Rocky Mountaineer between February 2019 and January 2023. He also previously served as a Regional Business Development Director for Allianz Partners between 2002 and 2012.

Allianz describes Corrigan as ‘a 20-year veteran of the travel industry, having represented a number of well-known brands, including Collette Tours, Royal Caribbean, Delta Vacations and the Automobile Association of America (AAA)’.

Brian Albano – Director, Strategic Partnerships

Brian Albano joins the company as a Director and will be in charge of managing strategic partnerships with e-commerce partners, and developing future partners. Albano previously served as Director of Global Supplier Relations at CCRA Travel Commerce Network between 2014 and 2022.

“Albano has 20 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, and has led partnership and business development teams at United Airlines, Orbitz, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and others,” said Allianz.

Allianz Partners USA previously announced the appointment of Heather McIntyre as its Chief Operations Officer.
