Allianz empowers travel agents with new guide
Allianz Partners has issued a new guide for travel advisors that aims to help them understand and sell travel insurance to their clients
The Advisor Handbook includes essential information such as a glossary of insurance terms and conditions, as well as traditional sales tips and best practices for marketing travel cover. More importantly in terms of travel advisor and customer education, the guide offers a detailed list of ‘covered reasons’ for trip cancellations and valuable information on cover for pre-existing medical conditions – often a sticking point for travellers who may not fully understand the need for cover, or the details of what they need to declare.

- Online resource directory: Advisors can browse descriptions and quick links to valuable online partner resources such as Travel Agent Academy and Partner Toolkit.
There is also detailed information on Allianz’s SmartBenefits and TravelSmart mobile app, which can offer clients benefits like instant payment for delays on flights in qualifying circumstances, and all the insurance policy information being kept securely in one place, respectively.
