All clear ahead for BIBA
The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has confirmed a new three-year contract with AllClear Travel Insurance to provide BIBA members with access to an exclusive medical travel insurance scheme.
The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has confirmed a new three-year contract with AllClear Travel Insurance to provide BIBA members with access to an exclusive medical travel insurance scheme.
The scheme complements BIBA’s existing travel insurance product and extends the offering to include cover for any age or medical condition, and to any destination.
BIBA Medical Travel allows BIBA members to provide travel insurance to people on existing hospital waiting lists and those still undergoing medical treatment, including chemotherapy. It also offers optional ‘Travelling Companion’ cover, providing cover for others in the travelling party, who have travel insurance policies with other providers, if the medical condition of the insured forces them to also cancel their trip.
Graeme Trudgill, BIBA’s executive director, said they are extremely pleased to renew this important scheme: “Over the last six years the successful AllClear Medical Travel scheme has enabled BIBA brokers to help thousands of people take the well-needed holiday they deserve. BIBA is delighted to renew the newly enhanced scheme, meeting the needs of vulnerable customers, and with an ageing population there will be more need for it than ever before."
David Marsh, COO at AllClear, said the company is proud to have been the appointed scheme provider since 2011: “We have enjoyed a strong working relationship with BIBA and its brokers, and look forward to growing the scheme further.”
