New partnership extends virtual health across Argentina
GlobalMed, which is a US-based international provider of virtual care solutions, has announced that it will partner with Argentina-based healthcare network Meditar, helping Meditar to market direct-to-consumer virtual health, which is a relatively new concept in South America. This will be done using GlobalMed’s eNcounter platform, which the company said can be adopted and customer branded by any provider network, enabling it to deliver high-quality virtual care.
Meditar’s network includes hospitals, healthcare centres, outpatient offices, diagnostic imaging centres, labs, medical suppliers and other standalone providers, and via the partnership the reach of these providers will expand to include patients in remote parts of Argentina.
“We researched the right global solution to extend healthcare across Argentina. Like GlobalMed, we believe virtual care is far more than a simple video call and requires the ability to incorporate biometric and clinical evidence into each virtual consultation,” said Erwin Padinger, CEO of Meditar. “GlobalMed's eNcounter platform has a proven track record in a variety of challenging environments and can bring our world-class primary and speciality care to more Argentinians, no matter where they are.”
Joel E. Barthelemy, Founder and CEO of GlobalMed, also commented on the partnership: “We welcome our new alliance with Meditar, which will help push direct-to-consumer virtual care across South America where it can have a major positive impact,” he said. “Our strategic partnership also underlines the value of eNcounter, the most configurable and easy to use, evidence-based virtual care platform on the market. With our visibility as the telemedicine provider to the White House and the Department of Defense, and the use of our software in many remote, hard-to-reach places, GlobalMed's eNcounter is positioned to become the virtual care solution of choice in countries around the world.”
