New centre transforming Cayman Islands into medical destination
Baptist Health International has announced the opening of its first positron emission tomography (PET) and computerised tomography (CT) imaging centre in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. It said that the centre will transform the Cayman Islands into a medical destination.
“We are very excited about the inauguration of the PET and CT imaging centre and the opportunity to provide the people of the Cayman Islands and throughout the Caribbean with this advanced imaging technology,” said Dr Mario A. Mendez, Corporate Vice-President and Chief Medical Officer at Baptist Health International. “At Baptist Health, we are committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience through high-quality, compassionate care in conjunction with the latest technology.”
Baptist Health International said that the centre will serve as a destination both for patients in the Cayman Islands and also for others in the Caribbean who don’t have access to this imaging technology and that it will facilitate communication between doctors on the island and in the region and Baptist Health specialists. It also said that the opening of the new centre reinforces Baptist Health’s commitment to cultivating relationships with international physicians, medical institutions and associations and insurance organisations.
