Greece ends hospital mask and test rules
The country scrapped pandemic-era requirements at healthcare facilities within the country on 24 July
The changes, which were published in the Government Gazette, include the end of mandatory mask-wearing in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Healthcare and care home staff who have not been fully vaccinated against the virus will also no longer be required to produce a negative Covid-19 test once a week in order to go to work.
The changes come in response to the sharp decline of the virus’s prevalence in recent months.
Greece, like most countries around the world, has largely returned to pre-pandemic levels of restrictions in the past year – and the nation has seen the rapid return of international visitors.
