Althea UK and Medipass Healthcare – two UK Managed Equipment Services (MES) companies – have merged their operations and rebranded as Ergéa.
The new company is now the UK’s leading independent MES business, covering radiology, radiotherapy, endoscopy, cardiology and surgical theatres.
Ergéa also provides vendor independent maintenance service for endoscopy, radiology and biomed equipment in the UK.
Althea UK CEO, David Rolfe, will continue as CEO of Ergéa UK. The CEO of Medipass Healthcare, John Muolo, will continue leading the Radiotherapy MES operations of Ergéa UK as the Executive Vice President and Director of Strategic Relationships.
Rolfe said: “Combining the capabilities of Althea and Medipass Healthcare in the UK allows us to bring added value to customers by offering a broader range of solutions.
“This enhanced capability has already enabled the first new MES contract to be signed, which is a direct result of the expertise, experience and customer relationships of the combined teams.”
Ergéa UK is part of the Ergéa Group, a cancer care and diagnostic imaging services platform in Europe. In Germany and Italy, Ergéa provides diagnosis and care at its own outpatient clinics, as well as supporting private and public hospitals through embedded clinical services and MES.
Muolo added: “Being part of the Ergéa group enables us to gain and leverage insights from clinical activities across Europe to enhance our MES offering in the UK. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and continue to prioritise the wellbeing of patients in everything we do.”
